Building Expansion Project
Why this project?
As ministry opportunities have grown and evolved at The Chapel in Green, we desire to build our church community and bless our local community through the addition of a multi-purpose activity space that can hold more people than East End or the Atrium, while offering more flexibility than the Worship Center.
Our Vision
We're excited about the possibility of expanding church activities into an inviting space that is functional, versatile, and private—weddings, funerals, kids' events, and more. But we’re equally excited about the opportunity to extend a hand of partnership to the local community, offering this space as an option for local outreach opportunities that allow us to love our neighbors for the glory of God.
Our Timeline
In February 2026, our church membership offered their overwhelming support for this project through an affirmative member vote. We now encourage them to prayerfully consider how they might join us in supporting the initiative through a 12-month pledge campaign. Our aim will be to break ground on the building project in June 2026 and to unveil the community room with a grand opening in May 2027.
Financials
Our church already has approximately $4 million in available funds to contribute to this project in existing savings, conveyed during our launch into independence in September 2023, beyond our operational reserve. We would like to initiate a 12-month campaign to seek the remaining $2 million in pledges for the final funding of the community room. (Any funds given to this project in excess of our pledge campaign goal will automatically roll over into our general ministry fund.)
