Join Men’s Arena this winter and spring as we read and discuss Christian’s journey in The Pilgrim’s Progress from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City!

Join us beginning January 10, 2024! Bring your Bible, The Alan Vermilye version of The Pilgrim's Progress, and download the Study Guide. We will meet at 6:30am and 6:30pm on Wednesdays at the church in Room 123.

We will be using a Modern-Day version of the book "The Pilgrim's Progress" written by Alan Vermilye. Please use the provided link to order the correct book as we read, discuss, and apply this life-long journey of faith together.

As artists, God created us to reflect His creativity and express His beauty through the artistic gifts He has given us. The arts have the ability to speak to hearts in ways everyday language does not. The Artistic Collaborative is a space for artists of all types in our church to come together, listen to the Lord through prayer and His Word, respond to Him by creating, and collaborate with other artists. Together, the artists facilitate synergy, as we create works that enhance the sermons preached on a Sunday at The Chapel. 

 At our gatherings, we look into Scripture, following the current sermon series, share together from our hearts, create, share creations, etc. We also want to hone one another’s gifts as we create and be a safe place to do that. Please join us on the second Wednesday of the month from 6:30-8:30pm in the Choir Room. 

All types of artists and creatives are welcome!

The OASIS (55+) Christmas Luncheon is coming soon. Registration is required. Please sign up before the deadline. We look forward to seeing you there!

This winter, join us on a three-part Bible study through the book of Exodus. Journey with the Israelites through an inductive study of the book of Exodus this year!

Exodus Simply Bible Study - A Women's Study

Are you struggling to find time to get into God’s Word? Are you hesitant to dig in deep, because you don’t think you’ll understand what you find? We’ve been there, and we understand the feelings of frustration and guilt that can creep into your heart when you feel inept or over-burdened! But studying the Bible shouldn’t be a source of frustration. It should be a source of life-giving encouragement! Join Carmen as she walks you through Exodus using the inductive Bible study method. You’ll gain a fresh understanding of how to study the Bible, and you’ll walk away with a fresh perspective of who God is.

This study takes place in three consecutive parts and requires three separate books.

Part 3: Exodus 24-40 (Feb. 12 - April 22)

Groups meet on various days of the week - choose the one that works best for you! The study begins for everyone during the week of Sept. 11.  Unfortunately, we are unable to offer childcare through the church during this study.

Tuesday afternoons from 1-2:30pm at the church

Thursday mornings from 9:30-11am at the church

Thursday evenings from 6:30-8pm at the church

This portion of the study begins the week of Nov. 6 (Exodus 13-23).

This portion of the study begins the week of Feb. 12 (Exodus 24-40).

Join us for some holiday fun at our Christmas Movie Night! This year we are watching The Ginch (2018) with complementary popcorn, candy, and hot chocolate. Come when the doors open to enjoy some cookie decorating and a snowball fight! We will also have several raffle baskets and photo booths so there is fun for the whole family. We can't wait to see you there and we would love for you to bring someone new for this free event!

We're collecting donations for The Pregnancy & Parenting Center for our annual Giving Tree!

Items like baby wipes, diapers, clothes, and toys will be given to local families that are facing an unplanned pregnancy.

Donations can be dropped off at the tree in the Atrium, near Door C.

These 90-minute concerts feature our complete worship team, band, choir, and orchestra, along with guest choirs made up of students from local schools.

What a bright time, it’s the right time...for a “Gingerbread Bash!”

Join us for a fun and interactive family event! Together, families build Gingerbread Nativities, hear the Christmas Story from the Bible, and discover that Jesus is the sweetest gift ever!

Since this is a family event, kids must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event.

We have closed registration due to the huge response, parents still interested, can email Kay Lynn Shetler to be put on a waiting list if they have not registered previously.

GriefShare is a support group that exists to help adults rebuild their lives after the death of a loved one. Join us as we begin to work toward healing together.

Spring 2024 Course runs on Wednesdays from January 10 through April 10 (there is no class on February 14 for Ash Wednesday).

Dedicate your child to Christ in this special ceremony for families.

A parent's most significant responsibility is providing a spiritual foundation for your child. Choosing to dedicate your child is the first step in building that foundation. You are, in effect, presenting them to the Lord. It’s a presentation of gratitude. It is saying publicly that this child is a gift from God, and the parents recognize God’s ownership. In return for this gift, the parents dedicate themselves to raising a child in the nurture and admonition of Christ.

Are you new to The Chapel in Green? First Step is a great place to start! Learn a little more about who we are and why we do things the way we do during this one-session class on a Sunday morning. No registration required.

You're invited to a time for mothers, grandmothers, and female caretakers with children ages birth to preschool to connect, be encouraged, and grow in faith with one another. This is a monthly gathering on the second Thursday of every month.

Baptism is a beautiful ordinance of the church that expresses your identification with Christ and is symbolic of dying to self and being resurrected in Him (Romans 6:1-10). We offer classes to walk you through Scripture so you will understand clearly the significance of being baptized.

Our baptism class is a single session on a Sunday morning. Advance registration is required in order to attend.

This is a 4-week course that covers:
• Introduction to the Bible
• Understanding the Old and New Testaments
• Timeline of Biblical History
• How to Study The Bible Inductively
• How to Have a Quiet Time with God

The Art of Marriage is a study for adults that helps participants blend their personalities and their life circumstances to create a divinely-inspired work of art — marriage.

Every marriage is unique, expressed by the colorful personalities of each spouse and textured by the circumstances at play in their lives. Blending these to make marriage work is a divinely inspired art form — challenging to master but definitely worth the effort.

The Art of Marriage is a 6 week long class meeting on Sunday morning during the 9am service in room 123.
Classes will begin September 10th and go through October 15th.

Get into the holiday spirit a little early by making two holiday wreaths – one for yourself and one for a local shut-in!

Cost: $20 (covers materials for two wreaths)

Women will have a choice of making either two fall wreaths or two Christmas wreaths and will learn how to make bows as well. One wreath will go home with them and the other will be gifted to a woman from our community.

Registration is needed by Friday, October 20.

We're thrilled to invite you to join us for a season of celebrating our Savior! From concerts and gatherings to movies and volunteer opportunities, we'd love to have you here and be able to share our joy with you and your family!

If you weren't able to snag tickets for Choirs & Carols (or just want to hear more), we'll be featuring songs from the concerts nearly every Sunday morning in December during our worship services. Join us on Sunday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 17 for special services with a number of encore performances from our choir, orchestra, and worship band as they finish out the concert series weekend!

Kids: All Kids hallways will be open as normal during both morning services.

Students: Middle school and high school students will meet as normal in their respective spaces at 10:40am.

Campus groups: On-site small groups will meet as normal during their usual times, unless communicated otherwise by group leaders.

Be sure to wear your favorite Christmas sweater to church on this Sunday!

Join us as we host the City of Green's Holiday Concert featuring the Akron Symphonic Winds! Whether you're a fan of traditional carols or contemporary holiday classics, it'll be an evening that the whole family will enjoy. 

Enjoy a night of family fun – complete with cookie decorating, games, prize drawings, an indoor snowball fight, and a Christmas movie of course! We'll be showing The Grinch (2018), as voted by many of you!

These serving opportunities are all about making the holidays welcoming and fun for everyone! You could give out warm welcomes at the door and help concert-goers get in smoothly by taking tickets, serve up tasty treats to the families coming to our movie night, or bring the fun by helping out with hallway games on Christmas Eve!
